Since opening in 2010, The Academy at Saint Andrew’s has filled a gaping educational hole in the continuum of care for children with developmental disabilities such as,  Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, PDD and other communication and intellectual disabilities.

We at The Academy define education as far more than academics. We see education as both an academic and a developmental process. We embrace functional skills that are necessary for independent living including:

        Socialization

        Emotional Regulation

        Sensory Integration

        Academics

Our educational community incorporates:

Positive reinforcement is the foundation of our learning environment. The Academy at Saint Andrew’s views every social and cognitive activity as an opportunity to teach students to communicate, to develop relationships, and to enjoy life.
